Alaska here I come!

Alaska1 I am off to Alaska today!  Jeff and I are taking a week-long cruise from Seattle to Alaska.  The boys are spending the week in Colorado with my parents.  We were in Alaska 3 years ago and it was so beautiful with so many things to do that we said we would go back.

In addition to all that eating that you do on a cruise (can you say "hello midnight buffet"?), we have a full slate of activities to burn off those calories.  We will hopefully be taking a helicopter to tour glaciers (weather dependent - start thinking sunny, sunny, sunny).  In Skagway we will bike from summit to sea.  We will start at White Pass and follow the path of the Klondike gold stampeders.  We also will be hiking, kayaking, doing zip lines through the Alaskan forest.   Hopefully I will be able to post while we are there and share the experiences.  When I return I am sure I will have some amazing pictures to share.  While I am riding in Alaska, keep riding wherever you are!

Jen --

This is spectacular and a most appropriate tribute to the passion and dedication that you are devoting to the "journey". You have much to be proud of and I'm honored to be on the sidelines, along with many others, cheering you on.

Congratulations!

Love,

Dad

Hi Jen!

I am so proud of you! I miss you and am always happy to hear news of all your accomplishments. How about a visit to CA one of these days? As I've said before, you're always in my thoughts and prayers, and welcome anytime.

Much love, Melanie

Hi, Jen. Mitch sent this website to me and I'm glad he did. I have thought of you many times and it's nice to read how your life has progressed. I'm certainly sorry about the cancer (both Kay and I had breast cancer during the past six years so we can identify) but it sounds like you are in control with the positive attitude and physical training. We will keep you in our prayers. You look terrific. God bless.

Jennifer -- Although we have never met, I can't tell you how much I admire your strength, drive, vision and passion. I am very exicted to receive updates on your Trek blogs. What you have had to endure over the past few years is something I can never imagine or even pretend to understand. Being married to Jeff has had to be hell :)

I AM ONLY KIDDING!!! Have Jeff fill you in on how much grief we can give each other.

Seriously, you are a person of true bravery. You and the family are always in our prayers -- but I will tell you this, it is not out of pity. It is prayers of "Make me as strong as Jennifer" so I can realize how small my problems in life really are.

Thanks Jennifer. I wish you a whole bunch of luck on your Trek endeavors. You are a champion!

Keep your spirit as it will get you through everything.

Tell Jeff, Neal and Barbara I said hello. I would so love to see everyone (and meet you!!!!) very soon.

Congratulations Jen!!!

Another one of your amazing accomplishments. I am truly amazed at everything you have been able to do so far in your life and you're only 32. You truly are an inspiration to me, many others, and I'm sure more to come. I'm so proud of you and love telling your story to everyone. Keep it up!

Love,
Michael
