What time zone am I in again...
Just a quickie post to say hello. I'm in the Rocky Mountains right now -- in beautiful Estes Park, CO for a conference.
Within the past week, I've spent at least a day in every time zone across the country. It's a lot packing/unpacking; running through airports to make connecting flights (only missed one so far); and trying to remember my hotel room number. But, I've been able to meet some wonderful people and see some gorgeous scenery. I'll show you some photos in another post.
Anyway, I found a bicycle touring company in town that hosts daily mountain bike tours in Rocky Mountain National Park. Fingers crossed that I'll be able to fit it in to my schedule. It would be cool to see some elk.

Hi Laura,
I hope you were able to go cycling in Rocky Mountain National Park. If so, where did you ride? It's really a beautiful national park. When Becky and I went there we had a rental car that could barely make it up the steep climbs and I was dizzy from the altitude (drank lots of water). We both had white knuckles going around the sharp curves at the edge of some very deep drop offs and no guard rails. For Illinois flat-landers like us, driving in RMNP is a scary thrill. I can't imagine riding a bicycle - you're amazing! We saw some elk (running across the road in front of our car)and a moose eating and wading in some water. There were several cars stopped along the road just to watch the moose. Must have been tourists like us oogling the wildlife. Can't wait to hear all about your trip and cycling in RMNP.
Love,
Mom
