Anti-valentine's day cranky pledge...

Open hearts I have added what's-her-face, Jane Seymour, to my ant-Valentine's pledge after seeing her ad for the Open Hearts necklace a bazillion times already. Is it me, but I don't think it looks like hearts. It looks like worms. And while I was riding my bike this morning, I thought of another one. So, here is my pledge to date...

I pledge to turn my nose up at candy that comes in heart-shaped boxes, fuzzy pink teddy bears that you get for free if you buy 3 cards at Hallmark, balloons that say "you're still the one" and play music, ice-cream-color-dyed carnations, Jane Seymour worm jewelry, and terms of endearment like cuddle monkey or schmoopy biscuit.

Anything you'd like to add?? Send me a comment with your anti-Valentine's Day irritations

-- 6 days until Cranky Cupid Spin-a-thon2

I think the Open Hearts necklace looks like a gang symbol. My V-day complaint is crowded and expensive restaurants.

That's how Seymour rolls.

Ha, when I first saw the commercial and the 'drawing', I thought...oh, pretty...but when I saw the necklace, I made a face one would make getting botox! A swan or a NOT pretty. Glad it wasn't just me. I truly enjoyed reading your blog. Thank you!!!

Come on....I'm the only one who thinks those heart things look like bums, bottoms, you know, backsides? Anyhow, I am glad to see the Cranky Cupid Spin a thon lives on! I will be neck deep in Lance fans at the TOC but I will be thinking of you all as you check you watch every 3 minutes to see how long you've been pedaling w/out actually going anywhere. Long live Tivo and Real Housewives of OC marathons!

I'll join your anti-V rant! Since we're expecting snow, I promise to go to the Trek shop with my bike and make sure it's fitted properly. Then, when it's NOT snowing (or wind blowing 50 miles an hour like today), I'll be ready to roll.

Sign me up!
Cranky-G (sounds like a gang name ... I'll get the necklace)

Pfew! Good to hear from you all!!! I was figuring that I was the bitter one (except for my gang-sign home-skillet sister Bec up there).

I'd love to do the CrnkCu2 by setting up my ride in the living room with the good TV and watching Season 1 and Season 2 so far of Flight of the Conchords - in my book, the funniest show going. But, I may settle for a Top Chef marathon, which this season is making me crave scallops.

Tori - have fun at TOC!! Cranky-G, go get yourself something pretty at the Trek shop.
