"Winding Down"

Cambria 007

Hello to all,

It looks like our tenure as the original 5 Women Who Ride is winding down.  I do have a few more stories to tell, and will try to get that out to you before I say "So Long For Now".  This is where I spent last weekend in Cambia California and I had to be the one that found the snake.

In the meantime, the new WWR ladies have been chosen and you will have a whole new fresh outlook to read about, so stay tuned for more good things to come.

Hi Marie -
I've enjoyed reading your blog - will you continue to blog after your tenure is over? After meeting my partners in crime in Wisconsin last week, I am even more excited to represent the WWR!!! We have quite an act to follow after the amazing ride you all are doing! I live in San Jose and often get down to your neck of the woods. It would be great to meet you in person!!

I'm thinking about beginning to ride and looking into a road bike. I have 6 children & one on the way, so I must give up my love of mountain biking since I can't just walk out of the house and do that.

I'm also thinking of joining the Women Who Ride Club. I don't know if it is worth $30.00. Do they really give discounts? Do they ever give a discount on a bike?

When did you start riding?

Hi there,
You can certainly get some good discounts and lots of moral support if you join the club. It will also enable you to join other bicycle support groups that will probably hook you up with other discounts too.
The love of the bicycle is a great way to raise your children because it's a healthy way for you all to be together enjoying life.
When you join the WWR club you also get a box of bike gear goodies. Keep in touch.

I have enjoyed reading your blogs, and especially riding with you. You were an inspiration and I have decided to start riding more. My husband has even been riding with me,too. I entered my first small triathlon two weeks ago where I did all three events. I have been doing just the swimming portion of the relays. I was successful, I completed it! I am hooked. My husband came to the event with me, the perfect support. He was there to carry me home if I didn't make it. I will miss seeing your blogs and I am looking forward to seeing you in the fall. Maybe we can ride together again.

Thanks Laurie,
It's been a great experience and I will always remembr our ride to the beach. What would I have done if you were not there to help re-attached my chain !!!!!
See ya soon.
