"It felt like springtime..."

"...on this February morning."  I think that is a phrase from a song by Sophie B. Hawkins.

She is talking about love, but I am talking about real springtime!  It is still winter, but this February has been so gentle to us in Minnesota.  I think it was close to 45 degrees Fahrenheit yesterday.  Absolute bliss!

I went for a run outside and it was amazing.  The birds were all out chirping their beautiful songs.  We (me and the birds) all know that this warm weather won't last.  Winter is not close to being over, but we are sure enjoying the break.

The picture is from this weekend at our friend's cabin.  We had so much fun. Thanks for inviting us!

Yea, we got that warm stuff too - the snow melted and every mold spore in creation was spewed forth and zeroed in on me... it's snot rocket city, here. I don't care :D :D I reckon it's just a "January Thaw" but I'm glad for it. Got a little tired of the below zero stuff.

STEPH!! I thought about you today when I registered for this year's Iron Girl duathlon. I'm glad you're able to run again. You have way more patience than I do. Good luck!!

P.S. And yes, it has felt absolutely, positively wonderful to run OUTSIDE without eight million layers covering every millimeter of exposed skin. It even smells different!

Alittle off topic, but I was wondering what brand of camera do you use? You're pictures are always so sharp and clear. Thanks!

I use a Nikon D70. I used to have a Nikon D50, but I upgraded about 2 months ago. I loved the D50 and it takes wonderful pictures, but the D70 is just amazing! It is all camera, and nothing to do with the photographer. Thanks for noticing.

Nice picture, Steph! But to us in California, 45 degrees is still freezing and not the climate to run in! J/K! By the way, how's the weather now that your back in Minnesota? Still "warm" or are the days gone for awhile?
